Yesterday marked the official opening of Relative Insight’s brand-new headquarters. The HQ is based in Fraser House, Lancaster’s newest innovative space set to become a thriving hub for tech companies.

Located in White Cross Business Park, Fraser House has had over £1.5 million of investment dedicated to its development. The Lancashire County Council have invested in Fraser House to create as a space for innovation, networking and a community-base for the growing number of tech companies in the North West. And Relative Insight are thrilled to be a part of it.

Attendees of Fraser House Hub’s official launch included County Councillor Phillippa Williamson, leader of Lancashire County Council and Paul Scully MP, Minister for London and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Small Business, Consumers and Labour Markets), who ceremoniously cut a ribbon to mark the official opening of the space.

Relative’s Lancastrian heritage

Relative Insight was born out of a charity partnership between The University of Lancaster and Child Protection Services, and the need to keep British Children safe online. With a unique history under our belt, our company intrigues all of those who encounter us.

Our founders, who studied at The University of Lancaster, developed a language analysis software to catch criminals masquerading as children online. The technology utilised the idea of comparative linguistics to identify the differences between adult’s and children’s use of language in online chat rooms.

Today, Relative Insight has grown into a comparative text analytics company that is used globally by brands and agencies. We provide clients with unique language insights across marketing, brand and digitalcustomer service and sales, and talent and internal comms.

As we continue to grow and scale our business, with offices in London and New York, our roots remain firmly in Lancaster. It’s a city that’s close to our hearts as it’s where the Relative Insight journey began. The story of Relative Insight’s heritage makes us who we are, and the future of Lancaster’s new HQ brings with it a huge number of opportunities.

Attracting talent

We believe that Lancaster will continue to grow as a technology powerhouse, and the recent investment in Fraser House and across the North is concrete evidence of this.

With our contemporary headquarters in Lancaster, we’re looking to attract the best talent in the area. Our ambition is to nurture employees, giving them the opportunity to learn from experts and become tomorrow’s technological innovators.

“We’re delighted with our new location for Relative Insight’s HQ. Lancaster really is an important place for the company and relocating to Fraser House means we can foster a working environment that promotes innovation and collaboration. It’s a great step for the wider technology sector in the North, and we see a great future here as we continue to grow.”
